LATE SPRING
Now there are blossoms on the tree and bees have noticed them.
Bees visit the tree to gather nectar for their food, but just as important, they play a big role in making the tree bear fruit.
Pollen is in the middle of the blossom. It is sticky and sticks to the legs of the bee. As the bee visits a flower, some of the pollen rubs off, and it picks up more pollen which comes off when the bee goes to the next flower. This is called pollination.

Soon a tiny fruit starts to grow where the blossom was.
