To begin, you will need
a seed, Next, water and a patch of earth If you want your seed to give birth. Check the time of year, the date. Dont plant too early. Dont plant too late. Find the perfect garden spot Thats not too cold and not too hot. Take a lesson from the mole And dig a teeny, tiny hole. Now its time to do the deed, Sprinkle some water and plant your seed. Watch, water, wait. Water, wait watch. Water, watch wait. Wait, water and watch. A seedling will come poking through, Like a little baby, it will count on you. Protect your seedlings! Pull out the weedlings! Its time to harvest what youve sown. Enjoy the food that you have grown. © 2000 by Leslie Tryon, |
